My original hair color 30 some years ago was a light brown. Started coloring it an auburn and have gradually over the years lighten it to a reddish blond. Didn't want to let my hair grow out and deal with the root issue, so went the coloring route with a L'Oreal Preference Light Amber Brown which turn out really dark red. Went to Sally's and was advised to try Beautiful Collections' Honey Brown which made it a darker red. I want to get back to a light brown......what can I do???

oooh i think you hair is processed a bit to much now. i think you should let it rest a while, do some hair treatment before you try to fix it again. who knows you might like that colour. if you dont, at least your hair will be in optimum condition to be coloured again. try to go to a salon.

Has anyone used Color Fix? I've read that it's easy to use and gives good results. My hair is in great condition, so I'm thinking of giving that a try.
Colorfix is a color remover. It should remove dye (relativelty) harmlessly from your hair, after which you would be able to dye your hair the color you need to.
Just looking for a few good hair slaves - is that too much to ask?
If you use colorfix, you will probably HAVE to dye your hair again. It will likely come out yellow or orange, over which you would have to put the color you want. Are you sure you don't want to just wait awhile? Darker colors tend to fade with time and you might wind up with exactly what you wanted. You can also try dishwashing liquid to help wash out some of the color faster (condition well afterwards).
