How do I get Cherry Red hair color?

   I already have a hair appointment for next Saturday, but I want to know if I can do the color myself, so I don't need to go in every 6 weeks. I'm obsessed with it. Does anyone know how I can do this on my own? I have a Sally's Beauty supply about ten minutes away, and can get whatever I need. My color right now is a medium reddish brown color...
