How can i get light ash brown hair

Hello, this is my first post here.

i need advise on how i can achive a light ash brown hair colour at home.

I have naturally dark ashy blonde hair. i have been colouring it dark dark brown (almost black) for many years now and i got to a point where i am sick of dying it dark brown, since i am naturally blond it take no time for those roots to show.

i would like to lighten my hair to a light ash brown colour.

What process would i need to go through in order to achive this without going green.

I heard that so many people have green horrors when using ash tones on blonde hair, but then there were some who managed to avoid it. Maybe i can to.

I have also been advised to stay away from ash, but ashy tones really work for me so i would really like to achive this light ash brown that i fell in love with.

Any help would be greatly appreciated !!!!
