Hi

I have mid-length black hair. About two months ago, I used Head and Shoulder to wash my hair. As soon as the shampoo touched my hair, I felt it go stiff and sticky. I immediatly washed it off. However, after all this time, it is still stiff and clumpy. It feels like I have put two pounds of gel on it. The parts of my hair that the Head and Shoulders didn't touch is normal and silky. I have washed it with different shampoos and conditoners but nothing is helping.

Has this happened to anyone else? What should I do?

Two MONTHS ago? You should call the company and complain. Maybe you got a bottle from a bad batch.

Just looking for a few good hair slaves - is that too much to ask?

Well, my husband and nephew have used the shampoo from the same bottle, and their hair is fine. So I am not sure if it's the shampoo or my hair just got a freaky reaction to it.

Use a Clarifying shampoo. They are specifically designed to remove build up. I myself use Ion and picked it up from Sally's Beauty Supply for under $5 a bottle.
