I have 2 questions:
1. I am black. I have what is considered to be good hair for a black person. Is the split ender something I could use? I know all products aren't made for everyone.

2. My hair is a little past my shoulders in the back, and at my shoulders in the front. Is my hair long enough?

Hi Ashlee! Welcome.

I really have no idea. Wish I could help.
You might try posting this question in the African-American Hair forum, as well?

I personally use oil to prevent split ends. That works better than any conditioner I have found.

Hi Ashlee,

I am skeptical of the claims of the "Split Ender." I don't know how the device can discern between split ends and healthy ends. Does it have an optical sensing device, programmed with fuzzy logic to examine each end? I don't think it does. I say it's better to do your own "dusting." I started when my hair was about the same length as yours.

I can't answer your question #2. Long enough for what? To participate here? Sure! We're here to help.
