Hi everybody..
Blaahhh I dunno where to start. I am getting super sick of my hair, i just want it to look right!! ok... I dye my hair blonde. Naturally I have lightish brown hair. I do have that problem where when I dye my roots they turn orange (even though i use a dye that says "brown to blonde in one step" on the box!!!) This time its worse than even because let my roots get so long I now have quite a bit of orange. I have dyed my roots 3 times and still nothing. Anybody ever gone through this or found a solution?? Thanks everybody, hope to hear from you.

Box dyes are not a good choice to begin with lol. Blonde box dyes were made for girls with already light blonde hair. You can try toning your roots now to take out the orange you can get white lady from sally's since i am assuming your going to do this your self. If that doesn't take out enough of the orange your going to have to bleach it out. You can get bleach from sally's as well even though i personally wont use there products as i feel they are more damaging then redken bleach, matrix, scruples, etc. The reason it turned so much more orange this time is because you said it... let your roots grow out to much. So the color activates off of the heat of your scalp and the less heat it gets from your scalp from being further away it activates at a different pace. Hope this helps and let us know of any other questions.

If I had this problem I would just go to a salon and make sure they do it properly in one shot then maintain it and don’t wait for the roots to grow out as long as you did. If you keep re dying over and over it may damage the hair.
