What is the Perfect pixie cut for me?

Okay, so I have decided to get a pixie cut. I have an oval shaped face. I am pretty much open to any length, however I have a few questions.

1. How short in inches should I go? I am the type of person who likes to know these things. I'm thinking a want a short pixie cut.

2. Should I have clippers used for part of It?
