A pair of Indianapolis Colts football cheerleaders had their heads shaved on the field today.

Here is a link to photos of all of the Colts cheerleaders. Megan M and Crystal B were the two cheerleaders that had their heads shaved.

I'm generally not a proponent of the bald/severely buzzed look, but Megan does not look bad at all.

Are we to assume that the other cheerleaders don't care quite as much about Coach Pagano? Sorry, I don't understand this. Everyone knows someone who is suffering from cancer, and it is withering and heartbreaking. But raising money or "awareness" through the shaving of women's heads is puzzling to me. Even my daughter (a huge football fan) found the hair-ravaging episode "extreme".
As an aside, for the first time in my life, I saw an NFL game this year, and I enjoyed seeing the Philly Eagle cheerleaders immensely. Every one of the 30 women had long, luscious locks, several to their waists. It was clear to me that having pretty, long hair is a major reason that they were hired.

I agree.  It may have been done with good intentions, there is a fine line between "raising awareness" and "getting attention".
