I am between 2 and 3. My waves aren't exactly undulating (though that's one of my favorite words); rather, they're a hapless frizzy mess that expands in direct proportion with the dew point :-) I don't mind the way it looks when my hair is at least 4-5 inches past my shoulders, because the length tends to weigh it down and define the waves. As I grow it out I wear my hair straight. It's simply my preference.

I guess it should be 2. Right now the strands at neck-length are pretty wavy, but the longer strands are a bit more straight. I'm not quite sure what happened with the longer strands, since they were wavy at neck-length. I'm thinking that it only waves here and there, and am hoping that it'll be 2 once it grows some more.
Mine's a number 4. As I said in another thread, I had about four inches of layers taken off, and sure enough , the ends have curled up quite nicely. Happily, since all the layers have gone away, it's not so flyaway.
I'm a lot happier with my hair patterns & characteristics now that I no longer fight against it.

My hair is straight. If I braid my hair or leave it in curlers I can make my hair wavy or in boing boing curls...I can also make it do thsi really pretty zigzag curl. If its not too humid out my hair will stay like that all day and the next two days it will still be somewhat wavy or curly...unless I wash it sooner. When my hair was really long the wave and the z wave curl things would stay in the entire lenght but the boing boing only would be at the ends and the top would straighten. Now that my hair is shorter they all stay in very well.
I like my hairs straightness because it can be curled if I want to but I dont have to work at makeing it straight. I dont have frizzy hair at all. But sometimes I wish my har would be naturaly curly. Some curls you just can make perfect (especialyif you refuse to use hairspray or gel).
I like Keri Russels curls...always have even before she was a big star. I like those curls that are oloose but spiral down you back and even stay in long loong hair. I also like the tiny boing boing curls that are absolutely perfect but very tight.
A #1 here......Used to hate it so I always permed...Straightened out the last remaining perm over a year ago. Hair is in the best health ever...Never will perm again!!

#2, Straight with a slight body wave. This was a complete surprise when I grew my hair out. I though I had "poker straight hair" like my mother. I am very happy with my natural slightly wavy hair texture.

I'm at 5 and my hair is almost shoulder length. Some of my waves are corkscrew curls but most are just waves. I quickly comb my hair when wet and then leave it alone and let it air dry. My hair styles itself into waves and some corkscrews on its own. Talk about low maintenance. When my hair is long, it is basically what they call S curls.

Mine is between a #2 and a #3. The back often has a few waves, while the front sides are straight. ( I play with them more I think when my hair is wet!)

I'm a #1 lass, but thats not such a good thing. I have friends with curly or wavy hair that wish it was straight, but I can't curl mine even if I do plait it because it just falls out and then goes frizzy. Still, a long straight pony can look good with shiny hair. Like mine.
I took my first measurement an it's a whopping 9 in. But of course since it's curly it appears shorter. I just can't wait to get some more length and weight so it won't be so poofy.
I am a 1, I guess. Though it rarely ever all hangs straight down. Not like Cher. It's kind of full, so I guess it has a slight wave. OK, maybe I'm a 2.

I always thought those with stick straight hair were doing something to it. But now, when I look at pictures of me when I was 15 and had bra-lenght, it looks a lot straighter than now. Perhaps my hair has changed in 20 years. I´m sure it´s not as thick as it used to be.
I like having straight hair. I permed in the 80´s (who didn´t) but I would not do it now. I´m all like accepting myself...
