Looking for good stylist in Des Moines

I recently moved and have yet to find a good stylist in the Des Moines, Ames area. I live and work in a small town and haven't seen anyone whose hair I like enough to ask who their stylist is. The ones I've tried don't listen to me and don't seem to be able to give a flattering or unique cut. I have short, thick hair and like to update often with stylish but not outrageous cuts. It looks great if cut well, but right now its just blah! Any recommendations? Cost doesn't matter.
