I'll respectfully disagree with the honorable Senator C. Fan. 

Length should be a bit longer or shorter with the way it's styled.  With her wave, thickness of hair, and face shape, you have to be careful on the shape of the style when you get around chin length.  Not a fan of this in it's current iteration.
3 pm is simultaneously too late and too early to start anything.

It may not be Stana's best look, but it's far more reasonable/believable for the character she portrays than the long look was. For that reason alone, I approve.

I like the length, but not how it looks in this photo. Fortunately, she usually looks better on the show than left to her own devices. So, this could be good.

PS: Totally agree with Klaatu48.

Looks like she cut about 8 inches back in May
 
and here she is in June
 
 
I can't believe I missed all this; she's one of the most beautiful women on the planet and I truly like watching her on "Castle" and BTW, she has looked awesome so far this season.  I'm wondering if the haircut will make it onto to the show this season.  Oh, I like this new look.

She was in "Quantom of Solace" very briefly at the end of the movie prior to "Castle" and looked like this
