HEEEEY! CONGRATS,NEFETTE! WOO-HOO! YOU GO GIRL! :) :) :)
As far as apprenticing vs. going right ahead, I`m not sure what to tell you...what are the benefits of becoming an apprentice? I`m thinking (I might be wrong here) that maybe doing that would get you some contacts in the business and maybe build up a little bit of a rep? Of course, going right ahead & becoming a stylist would probably get you more money right off the bat, but it might not pay out as well in the long term. Of course, I`m not a stylist and I dunno how the biz works, but (OK, youre probably gonna think I`m really wierd here) I am somewhat of a history buff & I know about the old system of apprenticeship that was used in the middle ages and the Reniassance; becoming an apprentice was sometimes a thankless job, but it taught a person in depth skills, and more importantly, studying under a master was sort of like going to an Ivy League school- when you were finished and ready to start off on your own, you already had that prestige and reputation because of who you studied under & where you did your studies. This is how it worked in lots of different cultures; in Greece, Socrates was the student of Aristotle, who was the student of Plato, and now a couple thousand years later we`ve heard of them partly cuz of who they studied under...OK, I`m a dork, but I like this stuff. :) Anyway, I have no idea if any of that is applicable to you or to the business of hair design at all. Maybe it works totally differently than that. Or maybe if you`re an apprentice to some well-established stylist, that`ll help you become more successful later on; "Ooooo, you studied under so-and-so? I want YOU to do my hair!!!" Anway, congrats again and I hope that my wierdness can help you in some way. Lotsa Love and all the good fortune in the world,
Ingrid

Thank you so much for your advice-It is pretty much the same thing in the hair buisness. I did a quick apprenticeship under one of the best stylist in Cleveland while I was in beauty school but still feel like I have much to learn. I studied with him for about 6 months and most apprentice programs here run for about 1 to 2 years b4 going out on the floor solo. And by the way I to LOVE LOVE LOVE history stuff so don`t think you are wierd for likeing it. I`ve gone as far as going to Reniassance fairs and playing the part of Lady in waiting for the Queen. Adam and I are getting married in Vegas and after our ceremony we have dinner reservations for the Tournament of Kings dinner show at Excaliber. Thanks again for your kind words>

Hey Nefette! Yer Cool! I worked at a Reniassance Faire last year- it was really cool. I wanted to go back & work there this year, but there was too much other stuff going on (It was kinda far away, so I actually had to stay the whole weekend there & camp out). Anyway, glad you don`t think I`m wierd! My brother goes to Vegas at least once a year, and he loved the Excalibur hotel, so I`m sure you`ll have a great time. Bless you & Adam & your future together!
Lotsa Love & Bright Shining Things, Ingrid :) :) :)
