See if you can get any friends and family to be test subjects so you can see how hard it actually is for you to style hair with the injured hand. It may not be so bad. If it is I'm sure there are other aspects of hairdressing that might not require so much careful precision that you could get into. Maybe curling or coloring would be easier.

I see nothing wrong w/ male cosys. I went to school with a few-some going to very high end salons. As far as your muscle damage to your hand-you could always go talk to your hair dresser-see what he/she thinks about it as she/he knows your personality and your possible qualifications. Also go speak to the school you would be intrested in attending. Best luck w/ your dreams!

At the salon I went to in Chicago, there was a transvestite guy there who dressed as a woman,-(and he actually didn't look bad as a woman)- who I guess was excellent with hair, although he didn't cut mine, I had a woman who I trusted to do my hair.

I know it is usually gay men that go into hair dressing, although I know there are a few hetrosexual men are in the business too. A hetrosexual guy would have a good time I'm sure in the hairdressing business, considering that it is mostly women who work in that field, and there are so few hetro guys in that occupation.

Congrats on your pregnancy!

I wouldn't do it. Play it safe, your hair is not more important than having a healthy kid so why take a chance.

You can always get it done after you have your kid, you can do it then.
