Hi Dave,I have been taking propecia for about 6 months now. It seems to have slowed dramatically my hair loss, especially on top. However, my hair loss has continued at the temples. Furthermore, I was traveling and was hospitalized for an unrelated incident and was not able to take Propecia for about a week. COuld this week have hurt my progress? Now that I started on it again, will it be like starting from zero again because i didn't take it for a week? Please respond if you can help me with answers to these questions. ALso, what about laser implantation of hair, how much do u know about it? Is it a worthwhile procedure? Like you, I have my hair on top but I cannot stand my receding hairline at the temples, might it be worthwhile to have the hairline rebuilt in the front thru implantation while still taking the propecia to keep what i have on top?Thankyou,Tony

Hi Tony,I am happy for you that your hair loss has dramaticallyslowed on top, yet sorry that your hair loss is continuingat your temples. My rate of hair loss at the temples hasbeen slow that I can't conclusively say that my hair losshas slowed or stopped specifically at the temples. I havenoticed that my overall hair loss has slowed considerably.I am also sorry to hear that you were recently hospitalized.During that time, did you notice any change in the rate ofyour hair loss? I have been supplementing my use ofPropecia with a variety of herbs, and I have noticedthat if I fail to take the herbs for a day or two, that myrate of hair loss increases. So it may be that your rateof hair loss increased in the short run while you were inthe hospital. However, I should think that if you resumedtaking the Propecia after leaving the hospital, that thebeneficial effects should resume from the point where youleft off. In other words, no, I don't think you will bestarting over from point zero.I would suggest that you consider supplementing your dietwith the herbs that Spencer describes in his book, if youare not already doing so.I am not an expert at any of the various hair replacementtechniques, but Spencer does talk about them in his book.If you don't already own the book, you may want to considerbuying it. It addresses all of these issues.I hope my answers have helped you. Good luck, Tony.Dave
