There were discussions before about the time to wait in between washing hair. I was always convinced that I had to wash my hair every two days because it got really oily on the third day. This past week, I forgot to wash it when I normally did, and didn't wash it until the 4th day! That time, my hair was pretty oily. So I just kept on the trend as an experiment, and my hair isn't as oily the second time.

Now I'm only washing my hair twice a week, with about four days in between washings. My hair does feel less dry. I just want to encourage those who were a bit frightened before to extend the time between washings (like I was!) to give it a try.

I wish I could wait that long. If I don't wash my hair about every other day, it's really oily at the roots. I don't even put conditioner on my scalp, because then it is even worse.

I recently started washing every 3rd day as well, but I'm not sure it will work for everyone. People with vigorous exercise regimes or oily hair may need to wash every day or so. I'm just grateful it works for me.

I think it depends a lot on how you wear your hair. I wear mine mostly in a bun, and a bit oily is always easier to control with pins than clean, dry and whispy. And I do exercise every day, still don´t wash more than every 4 or 5 days. But I´m sure it depends on the chemistry of your sweat as well...
The more you complain, the longer God lets you live.

I was washing once a week, but now that I am doing intense physical training every day, I have started to wash my hair every 3 days.

Diluting the shampoo is a must for me in order to reduce the amount of chemical contact on my scalp.
The conditioner is slathered on though, followed by a light oiling on just-damp hair.
