I just got my hair trimmed for the first time in 2 years and I'm not happy with the result. I have long wavy hair, that usually looks quite natural (somewhat stringy), and now it looks full and blunt at the bottom. How can I fix my hair so it is more tapered at the bottom and more natural looking?

Hello

The way I had this done a couple of years back was to have long layers cut into the hair to mimic the natural pattern of hair growth.

Well, the hairdresser called it long layers but it might be called something else in the U.S.

Basically, he sectioned the hair and trimmed the hair so that there were different lengths throughout, giving me wispier ends.

Hope that helps.

Or you can just ignore it and in time it will resume that look on its own. Hair rarely stays at a uniform length without trimming. It grows at different rates, and some hairs break, which is normal, even though no one likes it.
