Thanks crazygirl! Actually I ended up finding a salon right in my area, Sacramento. They do the Yuko system, just like you got. I'm gonna call them again to schedule a consultation when I'm sure about doing it. Do you think that system will get my hair completely straight without blowdrying if I have very wavy hair? I've seen pictures of yours, but it looks naturally pretty straight compared to mine. Maybe after my consultation they'll be able to answer that. I'm going to hopefully get it done before my vacation this winter where it'll be all rainy, and I won't have to worry about my hair at all!

Hi Jenna... just do a lot of researching, online and off. Read a lot of websites, articles and ask people what they think. Make sure that the stylist has the experience and the certificate to do it.

My hair was really straight, very flat. It was nice and shiny. Took about 6 hours to do the process. My back and neck were so sore after! LOL. I thought it was worth it. Right now, I can't do anything to my hair - it's bleached. They shouldn't do your hair when it's bleached. Remember that.

Goodluck and let me know what you decide on, and take pics!

Hopefully mine will take a little less time since it's not as long as yours. I'll bring some good books or magazines just in case. I am so glad you guys gave me the idea to look into this again, since I used to think every place charged $600+, and that most people ended up with damaged hair after. There is a lot more info now on the net, and I think the stylists are better trained.

What texture is your hair naturally? Is it wavy or curly?

Thanks Gold earrings!

Jenna, mine is naturally wavy. It gets puffy when I don't blow dry. When it's blow dried, it has body. When I want it straight straight, I use an iron, it doesn't take a long time, just some parts of the hair and it's very quick. I used to hate my hair, now I think I am pretty lucky to not have fine hair.

Dave,

How long is your hair now? The last ones I remember seeing of you it was just past waist length. Can you send us updated pictures.

Thanks, Leon

Hi Leon, are you new here? Apparently this is your first post here (welcome!) but you remember my pic from long ago...?)

Well, anyway, I have shared a more recent photo with Karen and we talked about how to share it here, but we have both sort of let that "project" slide (real life intrudes). Maybe we'll figure out how to share this photo here. Thanks for asking.

Lyris, GORGEOUS hair! My daughter's hair is actually the color in your current pic, but her hair is just a little bit longer than that of the picture you took last year (she's trying to grow it out to her BS too).

Kris :)
