This has nothing to do with hair, so forgive me but I need to rant on a silly subject:
What is with all this pink and black nonsence? Fall colors my foot! Why does every single clothing store in the mall have for the most part ONLY pink, black or some shades within (and a touch of lavender).
Are we all to be dressed like poodles?
Granted I like the look of pink and black, or lavender and black, or even rose and black, and I do love wearing these colors. But why must every single wall be covered in these colors and these colors alone? Here and there peek out a blue or a green perhaps but they are so rare compaired to this pink wave! Has the Cat in the Hat designed this years line up?
I overheard a sales woman at Gadzooks explaining that these were the new fall colors and that all the clothes are of those shades to make shopping easier on us. All we really have to do, in otherwords, is close our eyes, randomly point to several shirts and several bottoms and "POOF" our wonderfuly matching wardrobe is set! No thinking Involved!
Alas, are we so stupid we cant make our own color choices each year or even pick different outfits that will match with clothes we have? I understand the concept of "fall colors" but when suddenly EVERYTHING is only 2 colors (pink and lav, not counting the black) is that a bit much...or a bit too little rather. There are so many other wonderful fall colors.
I like pink, lavender and black but Im not going to be among the mass of "trendies" all wearing these colors.
Anyways, I think industry, fashion, and marketing all think we are stupid mindless consumers who need to be told what to wear, and who need to have shopping simplified for us. Ah we all need "help" in creating our wardrobe. Dont we?
Oh great Fashion Gods and Goddesses! Tell me what to wear and when to wear it! Tell me what colors I should choose! And please! Please make it easy for me!
It really bitess when I NORMALY wear a color or style that becomes trendy and then everyone thinks Ive bought into to it all. For example when the "hippy" look came back I had been wearing it for a while (still am) but everyone just thought I was going with the masses.
Maybe...they are looking at my group and taking from them the next "in" thing. I hear the fashion gurus look at underground and unique groups to come up with the next new thing. So they steal it from the people expressing themselves and them make it super popular.

Hahahah! Me too! I have that problem all the time! I guess we're just trendsetters!
I was wearing cargos in the mid-90s. I have been wearing rimless glasses since the mid-90s... now everyone has them! Grrrr. There are more things... I just can't think of them right now.

I guess it indicates that your styles have been appreciated by the style industries. Just because their focus has shifted in their endless attempts to re-generate public interest in buying new clothes does not subtract from the current, nay, timeless appeal of your looks.
