If you have transitioned (or are transitioning) from having short hair to long hair - has there been a parallel change in the clothes you are choosing to wear?
I am wearing more sleeveless tops (in warm weather and indoors) so that I can feel the hair that drapes over my shoulders.
Also, I find myself gravitating to more elegant and trad feminine styles rather than the uni-sex styles I have been comfortable with for most of my life.
When I had long hair when I was younger I wore the same clothes as I do now. My own personal belief about women is that they should dress feminine regardless of their hair length. Women just look so great in feminine clothing!

Good topic; I have a new appreciation for lower cut and boat-neck shirts since my hair just brushes my shoulders. My earrings are a little longer, too; I think chandeliers and long earrings look pretty on short-haired women, but I've only just started wearing them as opposed to my usual conservative little studs. I like the way they look against my hair. I'd never wear them, but I'm sure those teeny tees would be fun for someone who has hair that's long enough. I'm also learning to avoid fasteners at the back of the neck; even though I wind my hair out of the way, wisps still get caught.

On the days when I really want to play up my hair, I wear long flowing clothes. Long skirts and tanks tops or peasant tops with my hair loose. It just makes me feel wild and free. I feel so unconstrained next to all the super-tight jeans and uncomfortable shirts a lot of people my age wear. I especially love it if I can go barefoot.
Well, Ive not had short hair since I was in middle school. Back then I wore late 80s-ish styles and lots of baggy shirts with tighter fitting bottoms. Lots of bright colors. Now i wear flowy things. Lots of long flowy skirts (cheap becasue you mostly only you find them at the thrift store, lol!).
As for tops they are all more form fitting than baggy and i do like sleaveless to feel my hair brushing on my shoulders....BUT I get cold easily in airconditioned area so I cant awlays wear them. Id love to wear backless or low back shirts so i can feel my hair, however those styles are not usualy practical in most situations and they make me feel like a teen who is too young to realize she is dressing a bit too provacatively (no Im not a teen). Those shirts are best reseved for hot summer picnics, beach goings or danceing at a club. Somewhere where its okay to have a bit of skin showing either becasue your outside in the heat or out sparkling at a club.
IF! IF I was thinner I would wear a bikini just to feel my hair on my back. Right now I dont think I am ready for anything other than a one piece and your hair just doesnt feel the same as in a bikini.
Note!!!:
You usualy feel your hair the most along its edge. So if your hair is waistlenght youll notice it swishing there more then you would notie how it feels up on your shoulders. Or at least this is my observation.

I tend to look for longer tops, like coats and cardigans, since I think a horisontal line (like a belt) under a long, flowing hair is less aestetic. There is something about the proportion between the length of the top and the length of the hair... Something to do with geometry, I think. But generally, I agree with flowing lines.

I've noticed ever since I've started to grow my hair I've pretty much stopped dressing like a tomboy! usually I would wear cargo pants and t-shirts mostly, now my style is more leaning towards the hippie styled skirts and sleveless and 3/4 length tops.
I find myself avoiding hoods on jackets, or just avoiding wearing the hoods in general. I've also been finding really nice hats, partially to protect the hair, but I also find that long hair goes really well with hats. I agree, long hair looks great with turtlenecks!

this is a semi-connex idea. Are there tuques with like a large tail for the hair, as in something less moronic than say a *court jester*-ish character of the past or like a xmas elf.... :(
I have my own life and as of this summer or sooner, I will have re-vamped most of my clothes. So yeah. I will adapt both my business and casual clothes in consequence.
I hate all of the following and lots more : Fundamentalists, racists, sexists, fascists, ageists (people saying seniors = senile , kids = stupid , 18 = immature or a combo of them), and bigots for causes yet to receive their own designation.
