QuoteReplyTopic: Excited about updos Posted: November 21 2003 at 3:13pm
Heee heeeee…..I’ve been a naughty naughty girl. I went shopping and bought a load of hair jewels, velvet flowers and gorgeous clips. Just spent a couple of hours playing around making varoius updos and up-down dos.
Now I’m going to surf and find some vintage updos (think renaisannce, regency and roccoco) that I can re-create and modify (with the additions of my decorative objects) for the upcoming festive season.
Just had to share this with my long hair buddies here. I hope you all have a great time arranging your beautiful locks into alluring and romantic styles.
Best wishes,
Uzi

That sounds beautiful! What kinds of stores did you get them at? Also if you have access to a scanners or camera, it would be fun to see your hairstyles.
Uzma, You say that you don't have a digital camera or a scanner. Do you have an Asda anywhere close to where you are? As I'm sure you know, they are the UK version of Walmart, and hopefully they have a photo department there. You should be able to get photos put on a cd there.
I realy want to put my hair up, but it is really long(below my waist) and it always falls. I see alot of cool looking pictures and stuff, but I cant figure out how to do any of them. Does anyone know a site or book that would tell step-by-step how to do the styles?

This site has some good instructions, but you might need some help. Have you got a friend or relative who could lend a hand. If I were you I'd just play until it looked good. That's what I do.
I have seen the ladies at Circleworks put any length up into a chignon and it was quite impressive. Seeing a style made helps somewhat, even better if somebody does it on you and instructs as they go. Lacking thise nice ladies in person you might want to look at the how to on their site for one style idea.
And a P.S. to Mr. Decker, for all the things you do here and elsewhere, of course you are the great man I mentioned above. My praise is honest though I said it not to butter you up but to get in well with a long haired friend of yours. With any luck you'll tell them nice things about me.

Gormlaith! I have been dense... not recognizing you... your handle threw me off since I speak but one language (I was obviously not a Liberal Arts major in college).
Thank you for your kind words. You surely do not require my assistance to "get in well" with one of my long-haired friends (you are already there). I regret that I have not been in touch recently with this friend but I trust he is well and am sure he is happy.
