Do I have to trim the back much? Currently it is sort of 3-4 cm at the top and 1cm at the back. How long do you think it would take to grow?

I don`t know but that`s exactly how i want my hair to grow, how is this style called and what do you have to tell to the barber?, I can see from the pic the guy doesn`t not have much hair on the neck-head area.
