I`m a 15 year old guy and I hate my hair style! I`ve had it for about 2 years, and before that I had a mushroom cut type style since I was little. My hair is a sort of dark brown and kind of short in length. Not sure what you`d call it. (Pictures in link, be careful im ugly lol) I really want a new hair style but I think everything would look horrible on me. I`ve tried growing my hair `shaggy` but I always get it cut it before it`s finished growing. It doesn`t look right anyways when I do try. I was just wondering if you guys could help me out. I`ve never really used gels or anything, and I`m open to any ideas! I`m really really desperate for a new cool hairdo. Thanks! :)
As someone who has tried many many styles, I could tell you that if I were you, I would not go shorter with your hair. It looks fine the way it is. But I understand you wanting a new hairdo...so let me give you some grow-out advice.
1) I`m a gel freak....I love gel. Carry it around with me....start playing around with gel in your hair....you can do different styles like that. Comb it around...slick it...just have fun.
2) I understand what you are saying about growing out...my hair has gotten really long....it`s about collar length in back...the sides go to the bottom of my ears, and the bangs go to my nose. I love having longer hair...but for a long time I had really short hair...which actually turned out to be a pain in the neck...it had to be kept so neat and clean and had to be cut every 2 or 3 weeks...money that I didn`t have!
3) My advice, be patient, and when you get haircuts...only get trims...tell the stylist you are growing your hair out and that you want a style that will ease the transition.
thanks darin.. but i was hoping for something different. :) i`m willing to keep it neat and clean and whatever it takes. lol .. guess short hair just wouldn`t look good on me though, right?
I never said that short hair would not look good on you. I myself am partial to longer hairstyles...not anything reall long, but longer in general...would short hair look good on you..sure why not? I don`t think you want a flattop...but a caesar cut with a bumper in front might look good...you know where you comb the hair forward and kind of spike it up in the front. Why not give that a try...then you could use gel.
