need info about hair relaxers

i have very thick hair thats wavy.... im trying to grow it out and want my hair straight. ive tried a hair straightener but my hair isnt long enough yet to make much of a difference with it. blowdrying it straight hasnt helped much either.

ive read some posts on here talkin about hair relaxer, and it sounds like it make be the answer to my problem but im not sure.

i need all the info i can get about it... what it does? how it works? where to get it done? cost to have it done? how long does it last? before and after results? .......... or anymore info you can add that would help me understang a little more about it and if i should get it done

just read all the post for straight hair and you will find your answer. You buy the relaxers at a salon or a beauty shop. Or you can just go to a salon and have someone do it for you.
