I have read some interesting material on websites run by people who obviously really like very short men's haircuts. In some documents, people indicate that for them a good barber is one who will start the work without saying "are you sure?" when the client requests a major length reduction.
Just out of interest, how do you guys view this? Imagine that you had medium-length hair and decided to get a crewcut. Wouldn't it be logical for the barber to briefly check if you were sure, just in case you were acting on impulse or did not know 100% what you were asking for?

As a general rule, I like to make sure we have clear agreement before I allow people with sharp objects to approach me real close. That's true for barbers, stylists, surgeons or back alley thugs. Although if the barber is an exceptionally attractive woman...
