hi,
i need help, i want my hair to look similar to tom delonges, of previous, i have got part way there, it is grown to a reasonable length but im having a few problems i thought someone could help out with...

my hair is quite thick, and bushy and in order to achieve the effect im looking for, it requires a hell of a lot of hair gel and the one i us goes very hard (loreal gel'o) and obviously looks un-natural.

i was wondering if anybody had any tips that could help me to gain this effect without having to use so much gel. maybe it would help if my hair was a little thinner and more 'floppy'?

a few factors that i believe may affect my attempts to achieve the desired effect... i have my hair cut at home by a friends parent (untrained beginner) and also i use a cheap shampoo and no conditioner.

could anybody suggest anything that could help at all? will going to the hair dressers for a cut by a pro make a difference. is there a hair gel, or mousse or anything that could style the hair effectively, whilst remaining to look reasonably natural, or simply not going rock solid??

thanks

Tip - Hey dude there a simple thing todo got to the hairdresser ask them to keep the lenth and have the finge angled and then blow dry it strait useing a curved brush but mouse on it when it's wet. Then run the straiter's over it for that extra effect! Oh and use hair stray for max hold! should work a charm and look awsome 2!

oh so that is the delonge cut. LOL
that looks like a pretty easy style. i think that in the pics that guy uses some sort of high gloss fibregel. depending on you hairtexture, you might either need a hair iron or blow dry you hair str8 like that. you might considered some moistrizing shampoo if you hair is dry.
