I am obsessed with my hair, but who here isnt? I have a goal of 40 inches and right now its close to 31" so just a few to go right?
Nice to meet everyone and I cant wait to here some exciting hair stories and info http://mediaservice.photoisland.com/auction/Jun/20046194910797824944909.jpg - http://mediaservice.photoisland.com/auction/Jun/20046194910797824944909.jpg

Thanks for the welcome Dave. PB- Of course I know you, you are the best! Thanks for the great compliments. I do get neurotic over my hair and hope that it is as healthy as it appears in pictures.
AmandaPanda- I am an admirer of your great hair also. Thanks for being so nice.

Thanks CB, I do try.
I agree that Amanda has some great hair too. She does an excellent job with it.
I think it's ok to be over concerned with your hair as long as you take time once in awhile to stop and check what your routine is or if you even have an actual routine. Then you have to also remember that all the elements play into that such as tap water type, climate, perhaps you used a lot of cleaning products in a certain month and some got in your hair. And those are just a few of many that we don't even think of.
I mean we take for granted that our hair could be doing something because of a shampoo or conditioner. What about spraying Lysol in the air? What about window cleaner? those all get misted and can land on your hair. Who knows what they are doing?
I don't mean to get anyone worked up over that stuff but just want people to think about possibilities. Keep an open mind. It might not be your hair product.
Anyway that was way more than I was going to say so I'll step down from the box now but if you enjoyed that let me know and I'll say some more of my ponderings. I should put this in my journal where I have my disclaimer about breaking out into ponderings LOL

I am an avid reader of your journal of ponderings. Yes, I agree that there are things in the environment that effect our hair. I went to Florida on vacation in April and the water down there is so hard with minerals that it takes forever to rinse out anything you put into your hair, especially shampoo, which I DONT use. BUT the last time I visited FLA I was shampooing and my hair constantly felt dirty. This time I only CO washed and it was great. Just an example there, but I see your pondering has worn off on me! Anyway thanks for the thoughts.

I also was from LHC but I got banned, because people are too sensitive and too easily offended there. I personally liked LHC and participating in that community, but I feel was done wronged by being banned there.
Anyway you have great hair. Keep on growing we are all in this together

Guess that means you'll have to use a disclaimer too now ;)
Since you have read my journal then you probably know how much I really do appreciate that.
I'm glad you tried something different and it worked. I know it sucks when things don't work but it is fun when something does.
You are welcome. :) and thank you for your kind words. I really do melt when I hear something like that.

Ken, I'm sorry about what happened at LHC. I'm not a moderator there and I was not involved in the threads or boards where any of your situation happened. I had nothing to do with your being banned.
But I just want to give you a heads up. I approved you to join my Yahoo Group because you said you wanted help with growing your hair. As long as you are there to participate as either a learner or a sharer or both and not to post anything that a child should not be allowed to see nor hear you are welcome to stay. But make sure you read my rules. I am Very Very protective of my members. I have worked very hard to make my group a safe place that does not have Fetish or Sexual elements in it and safe for under age people and as long as you do not do those things and you treat people with respect you will be welcome.
So whatever it was that you were doing at LHC, please don't do it because I will uphold the promise I made to those ladies 4 years ago when my first group was unlisted. Bubba means Brother and I take it seriously.
Once again, I'm sorry that happened to you.
I hope you enjoy both the group and here at HB.

Hey folks, I'm another former TLHCer. It's good to see you all here. PurpleBubba, how is your apprenticeship comming along? CurlyBrunette, your hair is excellent! It is amazing that you have all that length with such beautiful curls. My hair is rather straight but when I was a teenager I had a curly perm (in the late 1970s it was quite common). My mother presented the perm as a way to have peace between my dad and I over my hair length. It didn't help with my dad but it was an interesting new look for me. It went out after a few months and I never did it again but I'm glad I had the experience of curls once in my life.

Slowly.
I'm very lazy and I haven't actually done anything with it since I went out that first day. I need to get my car fixed before I do that again but I'm not forcing myself to get it done so it's not happening fast.
The problem is I've been making so many friends in the past few months that I've gotten sidetracked. But it's a good thing because I need to have people to talk to about things. I'm still too 50/50 on whether I want to be a stylist or just get a license. So even though things are going slowly they are still progressing towards my goals.

Thanks so much for the nice compliment. Your hair has grown so much since the first time I saw pictures of you! Wow, it looks so healthy and thick.
