Hi everyone. My friend just got her long, straight hair cut into a cute above-the chin layered bob. Her stylist did the choppy look at the salon, defining her hair with pomade and bringing some of the pieces out away from her head for a trendy-ish look. Of course my friend didn`t think to ask what product she was using, so we`re planning a trip to Sally Beauty supply this week to get something to hold the style.
My question: What is a good, $6 and under pomade/wax that will hold my friend`s hair in place without getting too greasy by midday? She said she wants a good, firm-hold product. Susan`s hair is straight, medium-fine and she`s got a LOT of it. Also, we`re looking for products sold at Sally`s since I have a discount card she can borrow. :-)
As always, thanks everyone!

Hello, Lyris!
I am not familiar with Sally`s pomade products so I asked around and will pass on the recommendations of two people that do use them.
One likes the Pro-Line Comb-Through Greaseless Gel Pomade. Her hair is staight and medium-fine too but it sounds like she doesn`t have as much of it as your friend Susan does. She says it holds her hair very well without being greasy and washes out very easily.
The other one uses the Aura Radiant Humectant Pomade. She has slightly wavy, semi-coarse hair that has been color treated. It is a bit dry and she says this pomade adds moisture and shine while holding the waves.
Unless Susan`s hair is dry, it sounds like the Pro-Line is the one to try first.
Hope this is useful. Good luck in your search! ;)

anywayz, yeah its briliant i used it on my hair...its great for giving that piecy look.... just twist small sections around ur finger using a tiny amount of the pomade.... remember...less is more...always start with a tiny amount...if u need anymore u can always add more later
ps. u can use it on any colour hair...whether its natural or dyed :)

If you`re going to Sally`s, look for the L`Oreal Nature`s Therapy line - they have a pomade product. I don`t use it myself (my style - or lack thereof - doesn`t need it) but I gave it to a good friend with the same style as you described your friend as having and she loves it. That whole line is just fantastic, by the way.
Best of luck!
