Hi Kaylee (Cynthia),

You might want to consider looking at the 4 "Hair and Special Events" boards:

Formal Hairstyles
Prom 2003-2004
Prom Hairstyles
Wedding Hairstyles

I'm certain that there are threads from people who have had the very same question; check out the messages already posted and see if that's the case.

You may also want to consider adding the Long Hair Support board to the list of boards you visit, for support on growing your hair longer and help with achieving your goals.

Hope this helps.

How short is your hair Kaylee?
You wrote you have very short hair right now.
Obviously if it is very short, it would be too short to wear up.
You may need to grow it for awhile.

I used to twist mine up around all the edges. Just start at the front hairline, by the part, twist back and hold it with hairpins the whole way so it won't come loose. Keep going around the side, to the middle of the nape in the back. Twist and pin back the other side the same way, and when you reach the nape either fold and pin it the same way there, or if it's pretty long back there you can kinda make a little bun and pin it down, too. You'll use up lots of hairpins, but if you do it right, it can look pretty good.
