Hi! I want to get my hair cut somewhat short...I had a bob but it's growing out and I feel like my hair has no style to it what-so-ever. I'm also trying to let the color grow out and I figured cutting it shorter would also cut out some of the color. I have some pics but I have no idea how to post them. My hair is wavy and somewhat damaged from blowdrying and the straightening iron. I just don't want my hair to puff out with a short cut. The cuts I like are short with layers. What does everyone suggest?

Linny

Try a real short bob that you can tuck behind your ears, that is cute.
Another attractive look is a pixie.
Good luck! Keep us informed!

It'll probably be best for your hair's health if you cut off as much of the damaged areas as you can stand to, and use really good conditioners on whatever damaged parts remain, to try to get them looking as healthy as possible. Hopefully, with good conditioning, it shouldn't be too frizzy or puffy.

Would you suggest a hair serum? good conditioner? Which brands does everyone prefer? Which ones are the best? Thanks!

I haven't much money, so when my hair was damaged I used Herbal Essences Intensive Blends shampoo and conditioner, and after that I would generally put some Infusium 23 leave-in just on the most damaged parts, as they were most prone to being dry and frizzy. That worked pretty well, though I'm sure there are people who can suggest really spiffy salon products that will probably do a better job, if you ask around.
