hey every1

i am 15 years old male thinking of growing my hair out

my parents are fine with it. if you dont like boys with long hair b/c of religious issues or whatever you are entitled to your opinions of course but thats not what im asking for. lol

ive had long hair b4 and i like it but i decided to try something new and got a buzz. now i want to grow it out again because i think i prefer long hair. you can do so much more with it.

i know how to care for it (shampoo condition trims etc) but I dont know what styles to try. i dont like just trimming it occasionaly and letting it go crazy. i'd rather have a certain style to it.

my mom used to be a hair stylist which helps i suppose. but she doesnt have any of her style books left.

i am thinking chin length and longer. perhaps a bob style. i was looking over http://members.fortunecity.com/hairfair/ - this website and i think i liked http://www.fortunecity.com/westwood/mugler/183/as05.jpg - this style the most. my hair is a similar blonde color. i also liked http://www.fortunecity.com/westwood/mugler/183/anita02.jpg - this style which is slightly shorter.

i was just wondering.. how i would get my hair like that. and do you think that would be too feminine. i have a real soft face and im only 5'6 110lbs so i think i should take that into consideration lol

oh and thanks in advance.

Even if you think the look is "feminine" don't let that get the way of your decision. I like the Alicia Silverstone hairdo the most.. It doesn't look all that feminine to me. In fact, I think someone like Matt Damon could pull that off rather nicely ::dodges rotten vegetables::

It's also long enough that it doesn't get in your way.. You can probably tie it back if you have to. Take that Alicia pic to your stylist (or your mum)... And set a length minimum in case they get scissor happy.

Good luck and Happy growing : )

Hi, Alex14, I think that style is a very nice one for both sexes, itīs easy to care for, not long enough to get ragged or dry at the ends, and very versatile. You can do it "up" or down very easily. And it wonīt take very long to get either. Have patience, and youīll be there soon!

(By the way: Anais! Kundera has written an equally wonderful book about slowness, donīt know the english title though, a short novel. Excellent!)

Viktoria: Your aforementioned Kundera book is in the states and on the market.. It's translated by Linda Asher and is also called Slowness. I gotta check this out!! Thanks a bunch

Hi Alex,

My comment is on, well, the subject (not on styles)... it shouldn't be a societal issue. To a considerable extent, it still is... but things have changed.

Hi. I think generally long hai looks great on boys. I like the long hairstyles you chose. I think you should try the first hairstyle you chose. It is longer than the other one and long enough so you can tie it back. Could you send a picture of you showing how are you now and another showing how you were with long hair?

Kisses and happy growing!!!!
