Crop is shorter then pixie. Pixie tends to be longer round the ears sideburns and nape line.
How's Fred and Barney btw?

Hairstyle definitions are open to a lot of interpretation. Ask ten different people what a crop is, and you'll likely get ten different answers. *shrugs* For my answer, I think of a crop as being very close at the sides and back, but often a little longer at the top. I think a pixie is like a couple of inches or so long, often styled nicely about the face to accent the features. But if you're looking for this information to take to a salon, definitely find pictures of what you want, so nothing gets misinterpreted.
