Hi arielluvstennis!

I can offer you the standard tips: donīt trim unnecessarily, use a mild schampoo, be careful in handling your hair, stay away from heat, sun and products that are drying. Donīt bleach or otherwise chemically treat your hair if you want it to be in top condition. Eat properly. And wait. Two years, Iīd say, and you will have your dream hair.

Good luck!

It might be, if you keep it all under there. But I guess youīll be the best judge of that yourself. If itīs really dry maybe you need some sunscreen product and some extra conditioning. I live in one of the cold and dark corners of the world, so Iīm really no expert on long term sun damage.

Someone else, maybe?

In addition to the good advice mentioned above:

Don't wear things in your hair that damage it. Those thin ponytail holders with the metal part on it bend hair. Metal spring clasp barettes damage hair (though in my signature I have a page to show you how you can avoid that). Combs or clips with seams tear hair, brushes with catchy parts (like the ones with the plastic knobs on the ends of the bristles when the plastic starts to peel off) tear hair. You can buy seamless combs online, about 5 bucks for one some places.

Don't brush your hair when its wet. It stretches hair and breaks it more easily. You can comb with a seamless widetoothed comb when wet if you start at the bottom and are careful not to be rough.

Be careful where you hair goes. Don't catch it in doors, let it get caught in the back of your chair, catch it under your purse strap....damage can happen when you remove it from caught places.

Hi Tennis Chick,

LOL. Well, I don't know if we had anything to do with your hair growing this past month, but maybe (?) we helped with advice on care techniques which will help you keep it healthier (and less in need of trimming).

Wishing continued good growth for you!
