Sorry Rose, I have never heard of a way to really get it to grow any faster. Everybody´s hair is different though, and grows at different speeds. If you´re thinking of a particular event, like a wedding or a prom, there are all kinds of extensions out there at the hairdressers. My tip is to keep your overall health, use mild products, mess with your hair as little as possible, and find a style that will allow you to think about other things in the meantime. I don´t know what your goal is, but for me, it took three years to grow out bangs to bra strap lenght. I found that three years isn´t a very long time when having fun!  ------------- The more you complain, the longer God lets you live. |

I've been trying to grow my hair out for the past year. It hasn't gotten any shorter but I don't see a major difference. This year I want to focus more so that I will see dramatic results this next year. I'll be doing more scalp manipulations for circulation, trimming more regularly and more conditioning. My hair is a little past my shoulders and my goal is to have it to my waist. I believe I should be half way to my goal in the next two years.

It seems to me that my hair isn't even growing and if there was anything I could do to make it grow faster then I would. ------------- |

Hi mdulin2004 and ildjarn, welcome to the long hair support board! Is that a picture of yourself, mdulin? Your hair is pretty, and it looks like you have a great head start (so to speak) on longer hair. How fast does yours grow? I'd guess it could reach your waist sooner than 4 years from now. Maybe cut back (so to speak) on the trims? Trim less often, and have less trimmed each time? Do you have your hair trimmed professionally? If so, tell them you want to grow your hair to your waist ASAP, and want just a tiny bit trimmed from the tips. That could help speed the grow-out process. Hope this helps and good luck!
