A friend gave me a bottle of eucalyptus oil for my birthday. I love the smell of it. I'm considering trying it on my hair, but I don't know if it would be beneficial. Has anyone out there used it? (I put baby oil in my hair once in high school and it tooks days to get it all washed out. I'm trying to avoid a similar experience.) Any info or advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Korsakovhatt

Eucalyptus oil applied to the scalp can increase blood flow to the roots.. You'd only use a few drops though. It can be diluted in jojoba I guess but then you wouldn't get the minty toothpaste feeling . or... mix a few drops with an individual dosage of your shampoo. Do give us feedback : )

Anais

I tried the eucalyptus oil. I just added a few drops to my Shea Butter conditioner. My hair smells great and it's super shiny. I love it.

I've seen it at my local health food store -- with all the other essential oils. The stuff I used is by Yves Rocher -- made in Mexico. I don't know where my friend bought it. It's labelled as a bath oil, so maybe you could find something similar in a drugstore amongst all the bath stuff.
