Drew Barrymore set a great example when a few years back she tucked a grogeous fresh daisy into her short hairstyle and instantly turned a simple hairstyle into pure glamour. The press went wild over Drew's hair flowers.
Women and men have been wearing peronalized hair ornaments since almost the beginning of time. Whether you use an unusual flower or a jade comb, jeweled hairstick or unusual tiara or crown, a hair ornament of any sort instantly dresses up any style.
One of the simplest and most elegant ways to enhance any hairstyle is with flowers. It is a universal method of hair decoration.
Fresh flowers are best because they will not ony decorate but also add fragrance to your hair. In ancient civilizations hair was adorned with flowers that were placed inside small water filled tubes to keep the flower fresh.
Any florist can design a modern version of this style. Call your local florist and ask them to design a flower with a tiny water filled tube for your hair. Ask them to design the flower so you can hide the tube part. Also be sure and explain the style of your hair so the appropriate flower can be selected.
When all else fails tuck some gorgeous baby's breath around your bun or chignon.
Artificial silk flowers can work in a pinch but the best deal going is a fresh flower that adds beauty as well as a fabulous aroma.
Only use artificial flowers if you are desparate or as a form of hair dress rehearsal.
Remember that any type of hair jewels instantly dresses up any hairstyle.
