I need some ideas od cute ways to put up hair because if I`m kind of dressed up I don`t want to put it in a pony tail.

Thanks,
Jen

Jen,

You can always just twist the pony tail and secure it to the back of your head thats timeless. Or for the really formal you can go for the french twist. For the uptight look go for a bun or loosen it up by leaving the ends out and using some hair sticks in it. What do you think? How long is your hair now? Waht texture? Color? and what is your outfit?

My hair is about shoulder length with long layers ( and by the way I just got it cut and don`t like it at all.) So I like that idea but it probably won`t work with my hair. I can put it in a ponytail but it`s a short one. If you have any suggections of how to fix or style my hair let me know.

Are you good at curling your hair? thats always nice. You can also go for the pin curls look. Not sure how dressy you need to be. You can flip it in or out depending on your layers. I dont like layers when it comes to dressing up, very hard to work with.

Ok, well since you are in the same boat as me and can`t really put all your hair up, you can hum...I can`t explain it but I will try. This style is from the 60`s (I THINK) you part your hair a little ways (not all the way back) and keep it flat and tuck behind ears and you puff up the back! Or you could divide your hair in to little sections and pull back in to little ponytails (almost like cornrows but you don`t twist)
Hum...I can`t really think of anymore styles right now, but if I do I`ll get back to you!
