I am completely in awe of your hair (as I'm sure many others are). It looks so healthy. Your ends are so full. Usually extremely long hair looks rather thin near the ends. How do you care for your hair? (Products, type of hair brush?) How long did it take you to reach your current length? Do you trim? Do you usually wear it down?

I hope you don't mind me asking so many questions. Your hair is just so amazing.

Where can I see a picture of cat_grrl's hair?

Curiosity is killing me.

Hi, Juliana! Thank you very much for your kind compliments . I love your avatar photo--you & your hair are lovely !
I don't mind questions at all . I do trim my hair occasionally--in fact, it's due for one soon since I'm getting more wispies than I'd like (hard to tell in my avatar since it's so small). Carewise, I scalpwash 2-3 times a week and wash the full length every 2-4 weeks. I usually wear it up in a bun at work to keep it clean & out of the way. I like to wear it loose when I go out . I usually comb my hair rather than brush. How long did it take to get to this length? Well, it grows about 1/2" a month. I kept it at classic length for several years during the 90's while I grew out my bangs (ugh). I think it reached mid-thigh in 2000, knees the following year, then on down to ankles in recent months. I'll probably start keeping it trimmed soon--maybe I'll let it drag when I'm a crazy old cat lady .

Catt-Girl,

If you don't mind my asking, what is your hair type?

Hi, Lisa ,
My hair is medium brown with a bronze cast, medium-to-fine in texture, more straight than wavy (picks up a wave from a braid quite easily, though), and fairly abundant. It's a bit over 65" from my front hairline.

Thank you. I can't imagine that length! My hair is very fine and fragile, so I don't know if I can get it past BSL.
