Well... I guess from my name I`m a guy. My hair is... 4 inches long I think. It`s black, I`m 15, and I want bits to stop sticking up all over the place. I can comb through it and put gel on it and alsorts of stuff and they still stick up. It`s really infuriating, espeically when I look at my shadow.
I want to grow it out to between chi nand shoulder length and dye an inch length from the tips bright red. I don`t know how to get my hair straight though.

i would really appriciate your help, i have been trying for a while to find a suitable style with no luck. im female and am 17 my hair is at a stage of growing out layers and the back is much longer than the front (back touches my 7th vertibrate and front is at jaw level) it is naturally brown but i dye it a dark brown almost black. i have and oval face (i think) and think im in need of some major hair reconstruction.
i have been short short, bottle blonde and usually cut my own hair, with help.

Dear Vineman,
well depending on where you live there is a great hair gel called ICE Spiker and it will get your hair done. Some other gels that hold really well include the BEDHEAD products. Hope that help you!

Dear Kath,
I found this great picture of a hirstyle for you. It is at

Here are the instructions of how to get that look too
1. Work styling mousse throughout wet, clean hair and comb out.
2.Part hair to one side
3. With a round brush, blow dry hair straight.
4. Add small amounts of hair gel or pomade to the layers of the hair, working from the roots to the tips in small sections.
5. Shake hair out
6. Comb with fingers and add head band if wanted
