Who here was unnaturally coloured hair? Did you have to bleach it first? How much is the dye and how often to do have to dye it? If you bleach it, how do you do both bleach and tips? Do you have any pictures? thnx |

I bleached my hair from a light brown to VERY light yellow so I could dye it purple. I used "special effects" from Hot Topic... since I was covering it with a dark dye, I just bleached my head entirely for about 30 minutes (most people say to do everything BUT the 1/4 inch closest to your head then in the last 10 minutes of processing, put bleach at you roots to get an even bleach...) I think I payed about 10 dollars for the developer and bleach from Sally`s Beauty Supply and the dye was (I think) 8 dollars (NOTE! IT IS SEMI-PERMANENT! I HAD PURPLE HAIR FOR A WEEK AND DYED IT TWICE TO KEEP THE COLOR I WANTED...shampoo is NOT cool with this dye, it washed RIGHT out)...
