depends on how much patience you have with spiking your hair all the time....cuz when it gets long it takes around 15-20 minutes if you hair is straight and thick. (mine is curly and thick when i do spike it it takes an hour...needless to say i don`t spike it to much.)
or of course if you love long hair, and just want to grow it out and not nessarily keep spikes....go on and do it.
its up ta ya...don`t listen to us listen to yourself:P
