Hi everyone. Id like to get all the facts and opinions possible before I go ahead wth this.
I have dark straight long thick hair. Its a little below my waist. I am thinking of having it cut 3inchs and then layered.
Im thinking of telling the hairdresser that Id like the layers to begin just below my chin and getting longer in steps.
What do you all think??? Also, should I get it thinnned out?
And Is there such thing as too many layers???
Thanks in advance, harv

I wouldn`t get layers cut in that short if I were you in case you don`t like it it would take you a *very* long time to grow them out. I w also have thick hair and suggest you could get some layers from around mid back, it would take some of the weight out and thin it a little. I think there is such a thing as too many layers.
But hey, if you want to go for short layers, don`t let anyone else stop you. Good Luck

My suggestion is to keep most of the layers in the front and do a little in the back....and if your hair is that long I would keep the layers at a minium.
