I need some tips from people who have grown their hair out using a special technique, diet, etc. I would like to grow my hair as long as possible in as short ammount of time as possible.

Post or email! Thanx!

Eat well, drink lots of fluids, take a daily multivitamin, minimize stress, and finally don't obsess about your length. :)

Hi Goldielocks, I'm Robert / PurpleBubba from Michigan.
I'm a former cosmetology student and have been participating at hair care forums for almost 5 years.

I have my articles link in my signature. You might find something there.

I also saw this thread just now in the From the Past spot. It has some good tips and links.

I think the real secret other than patience is to come let us know when you're struggling. I think having someone to tell about your struggles helps a lot. At least here you know that we aren't gonna think you're weird for wanting to grow or if you seem obsessed over it.

We've all been there here so hopefully we can help.

Starting a journal of some sort helps. Either online or in a notebook. Then you can see what you liked and didn't like and chart your progress.

There's a link at the top under Community for Hair Log if you'd like to try one here.

Or you could just start a thread on this board and call it your journal.

I second PurpleBubba's idea. If it wasn't for support boards and whatnot, many longhairs would succumb to the perceived "need for change".

That actually sounds like a good idea. I'm really stressing out over my hair (oh no, thats not good for my hair either!) because as purplebubba knows, I want it for the part in a play which makes it feel to me like their is a deadline for my hair growth! I think I will start a hair journal...
