I`m going to get my hair dyed black in a salon in a while, and I`m pretty sure about that (my hair is almost black already) but I want to get electric blue streaks. Everyone`s told me that I`d have to bleach my hair for them to take properly, but I really don`t want to, because I`ve heard that it`s really bad for you and it can give you skin cancer and stuff - so I`m not going to risk it... I was just wondering if the black dye would help it take? Or would it just be better to get four or five blue extensions? Also, if I`m just getting extensions to last a few weeks, roughly how much do you think they`d cost? Thanks!

Bleach doesn`t wreck your hair that much if you haven`t dyed it before, and you`re only getting streaks done anyway. You just need to get light blonde streaks in your hair and then get them dyed blue. Make sure not to get the streaks before you dye it black though or else they`ll be a little more damaged than they need to be.
