Hi, everybody. I need some advice on what to do with my hair... Here`s the problem: I have naturally curly hair about three in. past my shoulder and its hopelessly frizzy & dull. Its in bad shape b/c I tried to dye it blond a couple months ago (its naturally light brown), and I hate the dishwater color that it turned into. I`m thinking aobut cutting a bunch of it off, but I`m not sure if I really want to. I`ve had my hair short before and I liked it, but I`ve been growing it for two years now and Im kinda scared to cut it. I can`t have it so short that I can`t put it up, `cuz I`m a dancer and I don`t want it in my face while I`m dancing. So, either I have to keep it long, or cut it super short so I don`t have to wear it up which I`m afraid to do. Somebody help! Pleeeeeeeease! Thanx, everybody! Love, Ingrid

Tough call...you said you liked it short before but you are afraid to cut it because you have grown it for so long. Did you like it long (before the coloring problem)? Adding color (as opposed to bleaching it) can help your hair to some degree. Though depending on the damage some probably should be cut off. If you are not sure about going short again, I would cut it to just above your shoulders (about the 3") and consider adding color (maybe a semi - permanent rich light brown - your natural color?) There are also frizz control products that might help. Good luck.
