While there are some terms that will describe certain styles - the length situation can be tricky. I remember when one of my friends went to the barber and said he wanted it over his ears. My friend meant covering his ears (this was back in the 70`s) but the barber took it as cutting above his ears. The best thing is a picture. -------------
