Well it all depends on your hair type. Some people with curly hair will developed afro some dont. I mean are african decendant, caucasian, or asian? I mean curls come in many different shape. But most likely it will become an afro. Because I think curly hair has so much body and bounce it really stand up. Afro is not so bad, what you need to worry is the frizz. For me frizz is what makes my hair go afro. I used some moose ( still dont know how to spell that ) to control my frizz. Maybe you could try it after you get your hair cut. Hmm blond.. cool but remember to keep it moisturize with a good quality shampoo conditioner. Its a good investment to have some type of deep conditioning product. Curly dry hair easily becomes afro

It is all in the cut. The question is how short are you willing to go. If you go to a trained stylist who is trained in dealing with curly hair, & let him/her cut it, then it shouldn`t fro. Everybody has individual hair textures & the stylist will best know the right way to cut it so that it doesn`t fro, however it may require you to go really short, so you need to decide if it is worth it to you. Even if it does fro, is that the end of the world, some of them can look very nice if styled right. I hope this has been of some help to you.

Hey! It depends on the texture of your hair...if its really tight curls or kinky, your might not want to cut it too short or it could go `fro. If its looser, corkscrew-type curls, then a short cut will probably work for you. Make sure that you go to a stylist who`s experienced with curly hair and it willing to listen to what you want. Be sure to be specific when you tell him/her how you want it, or else it could go very badly. I have curly hair, sort of corkscrewy, and I cut it short about two months ago, and what made it work was that I had the right stylist. I`ve always had curly hair, and have had too many bad haircuts, long and short, to count, so check them out beforehand...bring pictures of what you want, if you can. As far as dyeing it blond goes, you probably want to have a professional do that, too. Going blond usually involved some kind of bleaching process, which in the wrong hands can damage your hair very badly. Oh, yeah, and for taming frizziness, I haven`t found anything better than John Frieda`s Frizz-Ease line; I`ve only recently started using a few of these products, but they work wonders. Anyway, hope I could help & good luck to ya!!!
Love, Ingrid :)

I would have to say cutting your hair would make it curlier, and dying it blond will damage your hair, which will probably result it one giant ball of frizz. I would recommend not doing these things. But, that`s just me, and it`s your hair. I can`t stop you : ) Frizz-Ease really does work.
