it depends on what type of hair you have, If you have already big hair then no it will only make it bigger... but if its limp and needs body then yea also do what you want to do other peoples oppions shouldnt matter

My sister had a perm a few years ago. It looked awful. Perms seriously damage your hair, and your hair is not going to end up looking like a actresses. I think that perms are a little high maitenance. Every person that I have known that had a perm hated it and had it straightened after a few months, which then leaves your hair in very bad condition. Why don't you just use hot rollers once in a while or a curling iron? Then you will be able to have straight hair when you want also.

I know girls at my school that have perms/ spiral perms. I've had a spiral perm and a body wave . The thing you should do is make sure your hair is in excellent condition. Before you get your perm start conditioning your hair now. You can talk to your stylist and she can recommend a preperm conditioner.
The thing with the perm that you may notice is as it ages you will spend extra time to keep it looking nice and you will probably need a trim every now and then.
If you have colored your hair or put any kind of spray on lightner or high lites tell your stylist when you did it.
Don't wash you hair for two days, and blot it dry. Use a diffuser and scrunch the curls as you dry. I also liked to use Loreals Springin Curls.
Hope this helped.

Perms done right, and taken care of, can be really beautiful. Find a stylist who is good at it and up on the latest products, perms...and styling. Because the new products are better than ever.

It's such a great time to be a Stylist.
