hey, i have wanted to dye my hair pink for a while now, and now school is over i can. But I'm not sure as it would suit me. I have quite fair skin and blue eyes. If that helps at all? I also am not sure if its ok to dye my hair pink as i have perviously dyed it blonde (even though a lot of this has grown out now) i have heared that this can effect the vibrancy of the colour and even make it green, is this true? Also would it be best to go to a salon to have this done or could i do it myself? I already have quite light blonde hair so it wouldnt need bleaching, and have found a dye i would like. thanks xxx xxx xxx xxx xxx

well you could do a test strand to see what happened, if the colour is what you like, go for it. You said you dyed it blonde, what was your original hair colour? If you want the best possible results, go to a salon BEWARE bright pink fades easily so you have to touch up every 3 weeks or so Make sure you have a very very good hair products to keep your hair from damaging. happy colouring :)

Hey i say go for it its propably best to go to a solon though.. and if your not too sure if you want your hair pink maybe you could just get highlights or streaks to try it out you know.... and if you like it im sure you can always do your whole head yourself because your going to have to touch it up after a few weeks... and take some advice from personal experience.... wait as long as you can after you get it dyed before washing it... and im not a dirtball i swear.... but if your hair doesnt take the color right away, its going to fade or wash out, and im sure you wont be pleased
GOOD LUCK and have fun

If I'm not mistaken, first you have to essentially remove the color of your hair, then dye it with pink. I once got some blue Manic Panic and tried it at home. My hair is naturally blonde, but the blue did NOT take at all! Everything I read said that you have to strip off the color first, then redeposit a new color.
Unless you have extremely short hair and plan to keep it that way, I really would recommend going to a salon. Even though it may be expensive, ask lots and lots of questions so that in the future, you can do it at home.

Do it I don't like pink as a colour normally (call me insecure in my masculinity if you want) but it makes a good hair colour, as long it's the light sort and not the "shocking pink" that kinda makes me want to throw up a lot.

Sometimes pink can take ages to wash out so if you only want to to be temporary try not to dye pink over pink a few times or it will take months to come out. Also if you have to go back to school and have a normal colour use a pale pink as it will wash out more quickly.
