Okay I had my hair dyed red but it didn't come out at all
I really want to have red hair! The colour only came out
as a tiny which looked really cool at first but now that
it's faded it's a dark red/orange colour thats not much
lighter than black.

I'm not sure what to do! I already tryed with a Garnier
colour at home but that didn't come out at all. I know
people who've dyed their black hair lighter colours
without bleaching, I don't know what to do.
When I was getting it done, it took
ages to put all the dye in, I don't know if I could do
it the same.

I'm thinking of dying it brown when the red fades a little more
as that seems like a safer colour and dying it red later, but I've
dyed my hair twice and I don't want to damage it too much as I want
to bleach it when I finish growing it out.
My hair doesn't feel damaged at all but maybe I can't tell.

So what should I do? Should I wait and bleach to make sure? Maybe just
get it bleached to an orange colour or use hair colour remover on
my hair?

I don't have much money, so please help.

I've seen some nice colours of brown, I might try that, would it be more likely to come out? Then I could dye it semi premanent on top.

Do you want it RED, or natural hair color red. At Sally Beauty Supply, they have semi-perm reds (not natural) for like 5 bucks for a fairly large bottle. For natual red, can't realy help you but I think L'OREAL has a line of red hair dye.

Hello again. Maybe you should try dyeing again, but with a lighter red or a stronger dye. Or go pro and get it done there. I'm not sure how to help this time, because I don't know your hair type and color very well. Wish I could help more!

I dyed it again myself and it came out a little lighter, the base colour is definitely dark red and not just the shine on it.

Still I really wanted it to come out bright =(
