I'm not good with all the hair styling terms and all, but the place where i went to get my hair cut showed me a new way to wear my hair (im a guy). They put "aquage texturing wax" i believe it was called on my short hair to give it a nice messy spikes look. I went to CVS and tried to find it, but basically i saw every company marketed their product completely cifferently. I'm guessing it was all the same thing but they called it "texturing clay", "wax", "texturing wax", " etc.
The cloest thing i picked up looked like the one they had in the salon but it's called "pomade". is this the same thing as texturing wax?

Those products do sound like they could be very similar. Pomades often contain waxes such as paraffin. But on the other hand, texturing waxes can be harder to remove from hair and can contain heavier waxes such as beeswax.
That's just my 2 cents though.
